Metal Stripping
We provide the effective removal of old paint and coatings from metal product using acid dipping techniques to prepare the surface for fresh powder coating.
Through our related business unit Powerstrip, MID Powder Coaters is able to provide multiple end-to-end solutions when it comes to client requirements for a complete metal recoating services.
We can undertake a chemical dip immersion stripping process, which removes coatings without causing damage to the base material. This allows many metal products to be restored to ‘as new’ condition.
Rust and corrosion removal is also carried out by dip immersion in an inhibited acid solution, which removes all traces of rust without affecting the metal substrate.
The immersion baths can accommodate items up to 6m x 1m. Oversized items can sometimes be accommodated in different tanks or by utilising different stripping methods, so if in doubt, please ask us about what you have.
